My name is Elaine Griggs. I am teaching this course. I have been teaching robotics, math and computer science at public schools in MA for 20 years. I am a trained youth pastor. I have been leading after school programming and summer camps for 20 years. I have been recognized through educator awards including NCWIT, CSTA, Mass-Tech; Nasa, and Education2.0. I facilitate CS PD for teachers nationally through ECS- Exploring Computer Science, a researched based curriculum in CS for high school learners.

Research data show increased confidence, grades, mathematical number sense and academic interest as students actively learn computer science concepts. Students apply computational thinking practices.
